Well, well, well. It’s been a while.
It seems silly to come on here just to say I don’t know that I’ll be writing anymore. But that’s what this is.
Blogging really is odd. Of all the blogs I read, I enjoy most the ones where people share real parts of themselves. Even if it’s only the good parts, still – the implied connection is what draws me. But putting myself out there doesn’t really hold any attraction anymore.
The whole time I’ve used this forum, I seem to have been drifting away from real-life connections with people. Sure, people can read here and “keep up” with me, but. . .what’s the point? That’s not a friendship. It’s the shadow of one.
Too much of life in the past couple of years has felt like a shadow, and so I’m stepping back from this venue – both from the writing and reading portions (thank you, Google for cancelling Google Reader and making the transition an easy one!).
